4.5 stars. I've had this for a couple of years. I've never taken it skiing, but it's been used for lots of apres activities, disc golf, city adventures etc. The pockets are really useful, so I ended up using it as a fanny pack for my dog when I got a puppy 2 months ago. Poop bags go in the small front pocket. Treats go in the next pocket. The big one can fit a flashlight, a small can of animal repellent spray (lot of coyotes around where I live and neighbors' dogs have charged before), my phone, gloves etc. I put my key in the back pocket because that's not easily accessible while wearing, so I know I won't lose it, and I only need to get it once. While I admit I have stuffed it quite full, I'm dinging half a star because the fabric between the 2 front pockets ripped. It's pretty thin nylon, so I'm not surprised, but I'm not on the hunt for a more sturdy fanny pack with a similar design.
